Gerald, “Jerry” Hansen is a passionate potterer who has lived in Wilmington, NC since 2006. After receiving his first pottery lessons as a birthday present from his family, Jerry has maintained his studio membership at Fat Cat Pottery since 2016.
Specializing in and focusing his work on functional stoneware thrown on the wheel, he particularly enjoys the challenge of making sets and series of pieces that have a similar size, shape, and color—producing stunning works that complement each other while offering beautifully designed place settings for any ones dining room décor.
