Heléne Icard loves to see her handmade designs come to life, beginning with her hand-built clay forms and delicate artistic paint strokes to the finished pieces coming out of the kiln. Her pieces have distinct influences reflecting cultural symbols from her native Sweden and are often inspired by artists such as Modigliani, Matisse, and Picasso. Her love of nature is always conveyed in the imagery as well.
“My passion for all art is what motivates me as an artist,” Heléne states. “Therefore, I not only consider myself a clay artist. I am also a painter, designer, and jewelry maker. I feel my creative spirit is what defines all my work as a visual artist.”
